Many street children use or are addicted to using the avaition fuel.
The avaition fuel can cause mental instability, weakening of the
immunity system, affects their reasoning ability, lose of appetite and
weak.
Many of the street children snifing the avaition fuel using bottles, small cloth among others.
The use of the avaition fuel hinders a number of programs that we do,
such as resettlement since many of the children became addicted and it
is hard for them to stop.
say a prayer for the street children who are battling with the addiction.
God bless you.

OUTREACH IN KATWE SLUM.
we usually meet many street children on our way from home or town and different places.
On monday we met Muzafaru( a boy who has stayed on the streets for quite a few years).
In 2014 we had taken Muzafaru in the transitional house however he was not ready and he run away and we saw him Muzafaru shared with his us what is happening in his life now.
He collects empty water bottles and scrap to earn some money for food, he is uses drugs some times in the nights.
The slum of katwe( Basically near the Railway line is filled with drugs addicts and its a hiding place for some many street children which means that many of these children will learn and use drugs while in the katwe slums because they see other boys and men using them.
It is very sad that the people( elder people sell these drugs to the children and there is no way we can try stop due to the influence they have in society) .
we continue to kindly request you pray for the street children and the various orphans.
we would like to have Muzafaru back to the shelter after a few months of constant talking to him and encouraging him.
Thank you so much for your prayers

The story of Samuel.
Samuel is a humble boy, who socializes with the other boys at the house. Samuel is 12 years old and currently he is living in the Mercy Alive Shelter.
Samuel was raised by his Grandmother in Kira after his Mother died. Samuel ran away from home with a hope of finding a job of selling eggs in Kampala because his grandmother could not provide for him and his brother Enock. Samuel was on the streets for a couple of months and we got to find Samuel during the police raids. The police usually does raids and arrests many street children. We managed to visit Samuel’s grandmother after we got Samuel from the police station.
Samuel’s grandmother tries to support his grandkids by selling tomatoes and onions which can only provide lunch or dinner depending on which meal they chose to eat. They can hardly sustain a single meal in a day let alone afford other basic needs. Because of that, we decided to take Samuel to the Mercy Alive shelter, that way his Grandmother stays with his Enock.
Samuel had stopped to study since his grandmother could not afford the school fees and we are happy that next week, Samuel will be doing a school interview and he will start school in a month. Currently he is living under Mercy Alive shelter.
His favourite subject is social studies and he wants to become a mechanic. Samuel believes. that fixing is a good way to bring things back to life. He loves playing football,

THANKFUL TO GOD AND PROUD OF BENJAMIN.
Benjamin just like other boys, we met him during our Night outreaches and he had left home because of mistreatment.
After a few weeks of staying with him at the house and counselling him.
we resettled him back with his Father(Family). The Police together with our team helped in talking to Benjamin's Father who accepted to take Benjamin back to school.
We are very proud to say that Benjamin did well his final National examinations and he... managed to get a first grade.

we believe they are many boys who can do it as Benjamin as done and hope we can do our best to reach out to more street children.
We thank you all so much for your prayers.
