NIGHT OUTREACH.
We thank God for his protection and guidance.
Towards the end of December we did a night outreach. During a night
Outreach, we usually meet the street kids ,talk to them, listen to them,
pray with them and find the best means of resettling the ones who need
to be resettled.
During this Outreach, we managed to meet many
boys although we only could speak to few of them who were not under the
influence of drugs. Many of the boys were high and could not settle
in one place. Many boys use avaition fuel, marijuana,Alcohol,Cigarattes
and kuba. When they are under the influence of any of those drugs. They
are very hard to maintain and they can not listen.
There is a
rapid increase in the number of the street children which means there is
increased violence, mistreatment of the children by either their
parents or families, death of parents among others.
During this
night outreach, the boys were fighting each other using stones. That is
they were throwing stones which is dangerous since it results into
accidents.
The main challenge for the boys is the Police raids which are usually done in the night by the police.
we couldnt take so many pictures because of the dangers that were
there that nightalthough we managed to take a few pictures.

THE NGO CERTIFICATE.
WE ARE VERY THANKFUL FOR THE NGO CERTIFICATE.
We pray, hope and believe to receive or give a helping hand to strangers as a sign of friendship, brotherhood among others. How thankful we are or ought to be, how thankful we are, for we have been permitted to operate as a Non-governmental organization in Uganda. Praise be to God.
Much thanks goes to everyone who spared his/her time to pray and trusted God for this.
We would love to take this opportunity to thank Peter and Alice Caisley for the help they extended to us so as to manage to process everything needed during the process of registration. We thank you.
We still have to wait however for the permit of operational for a few week.s

WELCOME TIMOTHY.
We are happy to have Timothy join other boys at the house. Timothy is 8years old and he has been on the streets for three months. Just like other street kids, he has gone through a lot such as sleeping on a hungry stomach, coldness, police raids and getting beaten.
we are glad that Timothy is off the streets now and he has a place to call home.
We thank God for his protection and guidance.
God bless you all.

Hello Friends.
A very blessed weekend from Mercy Alive Africa to you all of you our friends.
we want to thank you for all your prayers for the children.
Psalm 23King James Version (KJV)...
23 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
Have a blessed weekend and God bless you all.

Another special outreach,
This is mainly done for two special children with a purpose to get to know exactly the kind of person problems they go through and see of how best to help them. This allows us to spent a lot of time with them and hear from them.
Two of these boys have been in homes before, And by that time, they were still more taken by the street life and when these children are taken by street life ,they usually need a lot of time to understand and see the dangers ...of living on the streets and in the slums.
Usually when the boys are ready to go into a home, they go and reach the different uncles and aunties and ask them to refer or enroll them in homes and when that time comes most of them usually just have a few things to work on.

The boys' mainly challenges is substance abuse, coldness because of the heavy rains and many of the boys stand a high chance of getting pneumonia among others, being arrested and beaten by the Police during the night. Two of these boys Allan and Pandol(Isma) have been arrested. The police does surprise raids and ties their hands with ropes. This is all because of the fact that there many gang of thieves in the slums and on the streets. These kids are easy target since they sleep and stay in the areas where the gangs stay and do most of the drug taking. we kindly ask you to remember the boys in your prayers.
Thank you.
Thank you.
This is a picture of how the boys are raided by the police.
Allan and Pandol. They all want to go back to school.
Hello Friends,
We are very thankful for which ever person takes time to come and share with the boys. Talking to the boys greatly helps them to understand their abilities, how best to improve themselves, and work hard in everything.
Thank you Uncle Lawrence for spending time at the house and talking to the boys.
